about me
I have always loved design of all types, from graphic to fashion to textile to web. Because I have always wanted be immersed in art, my education has always involved the creative side of my brain. One of the proudest moments of my life was the day I graduated from design school, complete with awards gathered along the way. My love of art continues to this day through my freelance photography and as a member of the web design company Rocket Surgery Design.
Color is an element of design that I really focus on. It has been an aspect that elevates the quality of my design skills and helps increase the appeal of my work. In my spare time, I create jewelry that utilizes color and texture in a much different setting. The opportunity to create real items has given me a unique perspective on how color interacts with the real world.
My life has been exciting since graduation as I have been working on a few different projects involving photography, design, and jewelry making. Being married to a fellow designer has also been a great experience. Nick and I are always exchanging advice and tend to inspire each other. We are currently attempting to find design positions because we feel that we are ready to enter the professional design industry.

How to Diagram
This humorous flier spoofs instructional diagram as it instructs the reader on marshmallow roasting.
Corn Mug
The logo design for this mug, crafted from corn-based plastic, was directed at agriculture students.

In order to add an element of freshness to this design, I was forced to think outside the norm.
